True Autumn
A warm fireplace, a hazelnut latte, an oatmeal-knit sweater... all of the colors which you're imagining, fit easily into the True Autumn palette. True Autumn is purely warm, but more muted than it's warm Spring partner Seasons.

True Autumn People
True Autumn people tend to emanate 'warmth' from their golden undertone. They don't need as much brightness or buoyancy as their Spring counterparts and don't tolerate cool undertones easily. Autumns shine in golds, mustards, browns, cream and natural greens. They can carry a range of dark to light values but gravitate towards the darker end of the spectrum (though True Autumns don't need as much darkness as Dark Autumn).

The Vibe
Olive, teal, brick red, squash yellow, cinnamon, paprika. Autumn is about earthy, spicy, warm tones. Autumns benefit from some visual weight and texture. If you're not sure of your Season, visit Color Curator in North Carolina.

The Drapes
I drape clients in a red, blue, green and yellow from each Season, and the True Seasons also have a neutral. I also have luxury drapes to show the beauty of the Season and some metallics too. Learn more about the draping process.

The Palette
These beautiful color palettes, carefully curated by NDU colors, aren't comprehensive - there are thousands of colors that the human eye can see, but they are meant to show the range of dark to light and chroma that the Season can wear. We shouldn't be color 'matching' to squares when shopping, but trying to get the right overall color vibe and properties.

Celebrities
Suspected True Autumn celebrities include Jennifer Lopez, Julianne Moore, Isla Fisher and Beyoncé amongst others.

Jewelry & Accessories
You and gold should be besties. If you're jewelry box is full of silver, it's time to break up. True Autumns need rich, warm and golden metals like copper, dark brass, bronze and of course orange-yellow gold. Rose golds are typically better served by Spring coloring but that could be an option for you.Earthy and natural or deeply colored stones like amber, quartz, tigers eye, topaz, amethyst, dark jade will all look at home on you.

Makeup
True Autumn accounts for most makeup on the shelf, so as an Autumn, you'll at least have an easier time finding your palette! You'll want earthier rose and salmon as opposed to corals per se. I like The Concept Wardrobe's recommendations for makeup for each Season.
